PSG and French forward Kylian Mbappe recently answered the question of whether he considers himself to be at the same level with Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mbappe has on several occasions stated how he admires Cristiano and even considers him as an idol.
“No, Cristiano Ronaldo has already made history,” Mbappe said when asked about being at Ronaldo’s level, ” I only have a five year career, I cannot compare myself to him.”
Mbappe says that as a child, he admired many things among them having a career like Cristiano’s. According to him, his idol is a great player who cheers everyone who sees him.
“I think all football fans love Cristiano Ronaldo. There are few players like him. I learned a lot from watching him play,” Mbappe said.
Cristiano and Mbappe have been likened a lot. Their style of play especially pace and power is slightly similar. Mbappe has been thought to be the natural successor of Ronaldo at Real Madrid. Previously Los Blancos have attempted to bring the PSG talisman from the french side without success.
It’s rumoured that this season, Florentina Perez has prepared a huge bid to try once again to sign Mbappe. However, PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi rubbished any transfer news related to Mbappe.
Mbappe even backed him up by saying that everything is going well at PSG. He also added that he has no intention or power to say the decision of his future.
Following that, the question remains whether the 22 year old world cup will play in the foot of his idol. He is young and has a great chance to break and make his records.
