Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has revealed that he owned his first car at 23 and bought his first range rover at 26 years.
He said this while dismissing investigations into his alleged involvement in the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) scandal. Sudi allegedly used the NHIF scandal proceeds to purchase high-end cars something he has denied.
Sudi says that he has been owning cars since his early 20s and he now owns at least 4 range rovers.
“When I was 23 years old, I was driving a Lexus. When I was 26 years old, I bought my first Range Rover. This is my 4th Range Rover since then,” he said in a Facebook post.
The embattled member of parliament was yesterday grilled by the DCI over the same issue. He also confirmed this through his official Facebbok page.
“I have been grilled in DCI offices from 6.00 am in the morning until now 5.00 pm. I have been questioned about a transaction where I sold my property in Eldoret Town to a company that wanted to build a hospital on the said land
The transaction between me and the said company was completed after I received the money. They are now alleging that the money was wired from NHIF through the company to me. As a willing seller, I cannot smell the source of money that I received. So far, I have responded to all the questions they were asking,” his post read.
Sudi has accused various parties for inappropriately involving him with the scandal. First, he hit at Citizen TV over false allegations in a post.
“Dear Citizen TV Kenya. Kindly do enough research before you air your stories. It is sad that you can spread such a falsified and misleading information. Sometimes lies demand some little brains,” he said.
He also accused the rich who according to him, “Mtoto wa maskini akipata ameiba lakini wa tajiri akipata ni ya baba yake na ni yao”.
“Wakwende kabisa,” Oscar Sudi said.
