Sudi Reveals Plans to Stop DP Ruto Using ICC

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has revealed of looming plans to stop the Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential bid using the International Criminal Court (ICC).

This is after a report from the Netherlands indicated that a Kenyan lawyer by the name Paul Gicheru had surrendered to the authorities after an arrest warrant was issued against him in 2015.

Paul Gicheru was DP William Ruto’s lawyer at the International Criminal Court where he among other six were facing charges related to the 2007/08 post-election violence.

On 2nd November, the ICC website reported that Mr Paul Gicheru had surrendered to the authorities of the Netherlands pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by Pre Trial chamber 2 of the International Criminal Court.

This has sparked a lot of debate on what is the implication of the surrender.
A Tangatanga die-hard Oscar Sudi now reveals that its a plan to stop the Deputy President from ascending to the presidency.

He said this via his Facebook post on 3rd November.

“Last year, I told you of the evil schemes crafted by William Ruto’s political enemies with the aim of stopping him from running for office,” the post read.

He has blamed two people namely Nancy Gitau and Solicitor general, among others as the architects behind this plan.

A work in progress to stop DP

He further reveals that this has been an undergoing scheme that has not started today as it has been in progress for sometime now.

“They began by sending three Police Officers to Eldoret Central Police Station to pick files recorded during post election violence 2007/8. They also sent the former OCPD Eldoret (2007/8) Mr. Titus Karuri to the Hague with the motive still unknown. They have now sent Lawyer Paul Gicheru to surrender himself to ICC,” he said.

All these plans are done subsequently to revive ICC case against Deputy President William Ruto, according to Mr. Sudi.

COTU Chair Dr. Francis Atwoli was also mentioned. Sudi says that Atwoli having said more than once that the Deputy President might not be on the ballot come 2022.

“This is what that self declared government mouthpiece Francis Atwoli referred to when he claimed that William Ruto will not be on the ballot come 2022,” he adds.

According to the outspoken Tangatanga MP, Ruto,s ICC case is inseparable with Uhuru,s.

“I wish to tell them that we are not scared about these evil schemes, we know every detail of their secret plan to tame William Ruto. We believe we have God on our side, let them bring it on,” Oscar Sudi said.
